The General Electric Company (hereinafter: GE) made a prior notification of its acquisition of the gas turbines business (hereinafter: NTGT) of European Gas Turbines N. V. (hereinafter: EGT),
The Competition Council stated in its decision that, according to the Competition Act and the practice of the Competition Office, the planned transaction does not fall under the obligation of the prior notification since the acquired undertaking of the EGT has no registered subsidiary in Hungary and had no income on the Hungarian market in the previous business year.
