Budapest, 25 September 2020 – Csaba Balázs RIGÓ, the President of the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH), has established a Workshop for Economic Development and Competition Advocacy, which acts as a professional forum with the aim to formulate recommendations regarding the promotion of fair competition on the market.

Pursuant to Article 33 (4) of the Act on the Prohibition of Unfair and Restrictive Market Practices (Act LVII of 1996), the tasks of the Workshop include making recommendations promoting the growth and capability of resistance of the Hungarian economy, identifying restrictions hindering market entry, making recommendations regarding the elimination of such restrictions and supporting the creation of a competition-friendly regulatory environment.

The Workshop for Economic Development and Competition Advocacy consists of experts, who directly support the work of the President of the GVH.
